by | Feb 17, 2026 | Blog

Cocoliche Reserve Malbec

Aged five months in 225 L French oak (third and fourth use) for subtle complexity. Deep purple with aromas of blackberry, plum and spice. Juicy and balanced on the palate, with ripe dark fruit, fine tannins and a smooth oak-kissed finish.

Typical Malbec flavors include:

  • 🍒 Black cherry

  • 🫐 Blackberry

  • 🍑 Plum

  • 🍫 Cocoa or dark chocolate

  • 🌿 Subtle spice or tobacco (especially with oak aging)

Body: Full
Tannins: Medium to high
Acidity: Medium
Alcohol: Often 13.5–15%

Argentine Malbec → softer, fruitier
French Malbec (Cahors) → earthier, more structured

🍽 Food Pairing

Malbec pairs beautifully with:

  • Grilled steak (classic Argentine pairing)

  • Burgers

  • Barbecue

  • Lamb

  • Aged cheddar or gouda

  • Roasted mushrooms
