This 25ha Cru Bourgeois has been owned by the Estager family since 1902. After hand-harvesting and traditional fermentation, the blend is assembled: 50% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot, then aged for 18 months in oak barrels (20% new).
A superb parcel of affordable, classified St Estèphe. Merlot dominated and drinking now. With blackcurrant flavours and subtle tannins, this is an elegant wine and very typical Saint Estèphe.
